Vacations

Ahhh, holidays! We recently carried out a survey asking you where and what you like to do while traveling and what are things that worry you while you're vacationing with a large group of both male and female Canadians to find out. We've gathered a few of the interesting facts to share with you. Enjoy!

  • The youngest group of panelists (18-24 with 27%) was significantly more concerned about extreme weather (heat/cold/rain) than those 25+ (AVG=18.2%).

    chart

  • Female panelists showed more concern over low washroom standards when traveling (15.2% of females vs. 12.3% of males)

  • Males (19.3%) exhibited more concern over questionable food quality when travelling (Females - 15.3%).

  • Though people generally are NOT concerned at having no internet connection when traveling, males (3.5%) were more than twice more likely than females (1.5%) to report concern.

  • Younger panelists (13.5% of those 18-44) were less likely than older respondents (21% of those 45 and older) to consider questionable food quality their most serious concern when traveling. (Mortality concerns rising with age?)

  • Interestingly, younger panelists (8.2% of 18-44 yr-olds) reported more concern than those 45+ (4.5%) over being targeted by pickpockets while traveling. (Likely more exposed to public places and cheap lodging etc.)
