RGA (Remote Gambling Association), recently published a booklet titled, Key Objectives for a Successful Regulatory and Tax Framework. It aims at providing guidance on gambling to site regulators and governments planning to accommodate private companies in their jurisdictions.

Bodog Poker to go ahead with data blocking

Bodog Poker has taken an important step with regard to the process of wider data blocking which was declared in February. The company’s spokesperson stated that the numbers on Pokerscout, a tracking site, are determined by open tables. He added that Bodog Poker will be removed from the site soon. Efforts in this direction are already underway.

Irish Gambling Regulations

Alan Shatter, the Irish Minister of Justice, has started forming new gambling rules for the country. The key aim of the government in this regard is to modernize the existing gambling regulations. It has been a long time since an initiative was taken to improve Ireland’s gambling laws, according to Shatter. The existing laws are not capable of dealing with various aspects in the present day gambling scenario.

Complaints against Paddy Power

ASA (The Advertising Standards Authority) has filed complaints against Paddy Power. The charges state that Paddy Power claims through its ads that bets that are lost will be refunded by the poker room. ASA says that such ads are misleading as these contradict the actual situation on the site. Paddy Power will have to add minor specifications to qualify them. Following the ASA complaints, Paddy Power was banned from broadcasting these ads. Betfair also faced a similar situation earlier this year.

The Hendon Mob Signs Deal with Genting Poker

The Hendon Mob, a poker affiliate site has recently signed a deal with Genting Poker. Prominent British poker players like Ross Boatman, Barny Boatman, and Ram Vaswani, who are owners of the site, will now act as representatives of the iPoker network.
